Congratulations to Unioto's Nick Corcoran for scoring his 1,000th career point tonight in their 79-39 win over Zane Trace!
Nick is now the 6th Sherman on the Boys side to reach this milestone.

Pretty impressive when you consider how balanced Unioto is.

Congratulations to Nick Corcoran !!! joining the rare air of belonging to the 1000 point club … what a excellent basketball player at both ends of the floor … he might have reached the 1000 point club faster had he played my Purple more often LOL - Nick pretty much owned my Chiefs from downtown LOL … always great to see players I have seen and admire reach some of those individual goals while still playing within the concept of TEAM …
Congratulations Nick C.

Everybody acts like it's so hard to get 1000 points. If you been playing since your freshmen year all you have to do is be a decent scorer and average a career of 11.4 ppg and that's easy. If you been playing since your sophomore year, it's not hard at all either if your a decent scorer, all you have to do is average a 15.2 ppg average from your sophomore year to senior year. So idk why everybody acts like its so hard.

I agree johnboy. Not taking away from the kids today, but they play 23-25 games a season. Also, add in the three pointer and nobody runs an offense anymore. Most games are like"street ball" where some kids shot the ball 25 times a game.

So, what year did the 1,000 point club become less prestigious? A lot of the early 1,000 point scorers played in gyms smaller than my toaster.
And, I'm sure you weren't singling out Corcoran, but I don't think he shoots anywhere near 25 times a game.

Corcoran
This year- 16.1 ppg on 12.8 shots a game
Junior -17.2 ppg on 14.1 shots a game
Sophomore - 10.3 ppg on 9 shots a game
Freshman - Did not play varsity
Too bad he didn't shoot 25 times per game or he'd be well over 2000 now based on his efficiency.

There are kids that shoot the ball 25 times a night in Southern Ohio. I said some kids, not him.

It sounds to me he needs to shoot more, he averaged more as a junior than he is a senior. He needs to step up and create for himself.

His team is 22-0, I think things are fine for Unioto.

How many do you average in the powerful Hocking??? I'm shocked you made it off topics where you talk up Wahama kids and diss Hocking kids to troll elsewhere.
The White Falcon education must not promote grammar.
