Losing a good bit. Solid JV team, Trey will be even better. SOC won’t be as strong.

I’ll say they might win the SOC but won’t be quite as good as this year, but pretty close.

They'll be solid again, but who's going to be that guy who can step up and make a play when needed offensively? We'll see who steps up

Trey
He will have to bulk up and more willing to drive. Trey can hit the 3 when needed typically, but there's nights he's off and he'll need to utilize to get to the basket. 3 point shooters can be taken out of the game, look at Peake last night. When needed someone needs to have the ability to get to the hole. Who else can take over that Cody or Coby role is going to be big for Waverly. Trey going to get his when it's there that is a given.

He’ll drive more each year. He’ll get bigger and stronger each year too

Agree, he started driving the lane. He will be able to beat many defenders into the lane. He’s also a great passer.

Yes, Waverly will lose a lot with the graduation of Dunn, Marquez, Remington, Wolf and yes Hoover (even though he never played 1 minute).
But, Wavely has the potential to surprise some people and be very good.
Guard play will be very strong and I’m looking g forward to seeing how Smallwood comes into his final year, seeing how much Juniors to be Shanks & Brown grow & improve and Sophomore to be Futhey grows. These 4 young men will have a lot to do with the success of Waverly basketball in 19/20.
Gonna be a good year I believe...

Robertson will be very good and the leader,They will take there lumps Along the way as all young teams do. I'd say a .500 record for the Tigers next season

I think SOC being down puts them around 13-8 or 14-8

Maybe next year’s Waverly team will be good enough to beat Eastern, but I know this Waverly senior class sure wasn’t good enough!!!!

Waverly won the Classic in 16' (over Western) when Marquez, Wolf & Hoover were sophomores. Didn't get the chance to play Eastern that year?
They did play the previous year (2015) with Waverly winning and advancing to play in the Championship game vs Western.

So who is the favorite in the SOC2 next year? Burg is losing a lot, Waverly is losing a lot, Minford idk, Webster is losing Blevins, Ruth, Holstein, Returning Bockway Voirs and Zimmerman. Northwest and West Meh. Oak Hill maybe?

Oak Hill loses Darby but returns Hammond

I’d guess a couple players transfer and affect things a bit around the SOC

I don’t think there’s a clear favorite. Burg, Oak Hill, Waverly and South Webster should be the front 4 in some order.

West, Valley and Minford will be very young. Northwest is a wild card. JV team was good but that doesn’t always translate.

Waverly will have as good of a chance to win the league as anyone with good guard play (Robertson and Stulley) mixed with size (Smallwood and Futhey). Plenty of athletes surrounding those 4.

Who is your bet to end up at OH or New Boston

Waverly should be right there for the soc title... There actually going to have some size this year along with 2 reallly good.
Grauds and trey and Stalley. Whats everyone else thinks

Tanner Smallwood
Zeke brown
Payton Shoemaker and Hayden shanks

So heres my starting five for Waverly next season
1 Trey Robertson
2 Marcum Stalley
3 Hayden shanks
4 Zeke brown
5 Tanner Smallwood
6 Man Payton shoemaker
Couple other guys coming off the bench cant think of them but they will be pretty good...

Burg will return three sophomores that play varsity. Jv team is pretty good. They should have a solid team. Minford will improve, a young valley team may look good too.
