As in football, the Burg is the word in SOC2 basketball. Persin will work his coaching magic and the Robertson's will run wild at Waverly, but the Pirates always reload and never seem to have to rebuild.

I know about the Robertsons, do the Tigers have the size inside to compete with the Burg ?

Outside of McCorkle, what size does Burg have?

6’5 Futhey and a couple 6’4s I thought

Smallwood (SR), Brown (JR), Futhey (SO)
Would have had Shanks (JR) but he will be undergoing surgery to repair the torn ACL.

I read somewhere a couple days ago, that Truitt is close to 6'5" now, and besides McCorkle they have someone close to 6'6".

Truitt is about 6'3". Maxey is 6'5" or 6'6". SOC2 will be between Burg and Waverly and maybe Oakhill.

I really don't know how tall that Truitt really is. On the Basketball Wheelersburg thread, I read that Spider2Ybanana posted that he saw Truitt at the Burg-Greenup County football game, and that he looked to be 6'5" or even 6'6". Like I said, I really have no idea, but I knew what I read.

1.Burg
2. Waverly
3. Oak Hill
4. SW
5. Valley
6. Minford
7. Eastern
8. Northwest
9. West

POY: Hammond, Oak Hill
COY: Ater, Burg

Overall, think league is average, at best this year. Don’t know if I see a Regional team in there although Burg and Oak Hill in D3 might be best shot.*

I think it will be between Burg and Waverly for the title. Oak hill might knock one of them off too. Then Valley, SW, and Minford will all be around the same record I think. Northwest might surprise a few teams, they will be young, but have a good defender in the Campbell kid. I hope to get out and watch a few games this year. Havent been to any in the area the last for years.

The younger Maxie is 6'5 and the senior Maxie is 6'6

Burg has strong post men and great shooters on the perimeter; however, they will have a challenge against Waverly.

Truitt is a guard in my opinion and I do not believe Maxey has ever gotten any significant minutes. Waverly will have a big advantage in the post against Wheelersburg.

I wouldn't expect to see the younger Maxie getting much time if any this season.

Watched waverly scrimmage Portsmouth last night. Robertson kid dominated. Got anywhere he wanted knocked down multiple threes. The rest of the team was still in football shape but waverly is going to be very very good this year.

Portsmouth is going to be really bad once again. The Fraulini kid is nice, but besides him, they will really struggle.

I wouldn’t get too excited over the results of that scrimmage.

I don’t think he is overly excited about that one scrimmage. I know Waverly scrimmaged at New Boston last week and quite frankly don’t know how they had enough players to scrimmage as most of the team was playing football.
I don’t know who all is playing and who isn’t but football those who played football just finished their last game Saturday and were to have until today to report. If Waverly looked halfway decent last night would be a huge plus....
