Back to Basketball 30!!!! Can’t wait for Wednesday!! Gonna be a Pirate Battle, but I feel like Wheelersburg can win this one.

Burg is fortunate to be on this side of the bracket and not facing Africentric like Fairland has to.

Garaway has had a few down years for their standards but have improved this year. They are very well coached and disciplined. They’ve actually been better at football lately than they have basketball. In general the D3 East isn’t as strong this year as it normally has been.

Garaway is much taller/longer than Chesapeake and will be well coached but they don’t have “a guy” like Peake had in Blankenship. I think this game is a toss up because both teams will be prepared and take away strengths. I could definitely see Burg winning and I think it will be a tight game either way.

Congrats Burg on making it to the Regionals!! Got hot at the right time!!



I think the Regional games should stay at local High Schools like last few years. Lot of them stepped up the last few years and hosted the games. Anyone know why the district games weren’t played at the Convo this year??

Gotcha!! I guess no one will have an advantage of playing there. The only one who might have been there for Burg would be Eli Swords his Sophomore year and I’m thinking he didn’t play much in that loss to Chesapeake.

D3 East District is down. A lot of people smarter than I thought a multiple teams in D4 East District could've won it. Hiland beat Garaway twice this year and Hiland is definitely not the same Hiland team as normal. Burg has a great chance to take this one and I will be picking them over Garaway

At this point, I wouldn’t pick against this Burg team even if they were facing ‘90 UNLV Runnin’ Rebs! Burg keeps on rolling to Regional Finals*

Yeah, betting against the Pirates now is a fools bet. They are really rolling.

Congrats to W Berg. They played an almost perfect game and I wish you luck in regionals. It’s tough to see your kids HS career end but we were very blessed to have met and been around a great coach and great people at Chesapeake. Wish the best for Coach Ater as he also is classy coach.

At this point, burg might as well relax and enjoy the moment. They have played so well after being counted out. Garaway has to be good if they are there, so right now burg will have to play a great game to have a chance to move on.

Garaway has playing some real good basketball here of late,they can play some pretty good defense,the scary thing about this Garaway team is they start all juniors,so next season was to be there year,so it looks like there year ahead of schedule

If Garaway still plays the 32-29 games they used to play, I’m sure Ater wouldn’t mind. They thrive in those types of games.
