... I have never been a fan of the MaxPreps site ... information isn't correct or isn't up-to-date ... rosters have players from years past on them ... I know "hate" is a strong word BUT it fits how I feel about the website ...

From what I’ve seen this year, most teams at least have their scores updated. Stats and rosters are mostly empty or antiquated, but team records have been pretty good.

Girls are missing a ton.

I would assume it will be the AD/coaches responsibility to make sure all games and final scores are in there by a certain date.

I will be curious to see how this all shakes out. Boys basketball stats, rosters, and schedules are a mess on MaxPreps. It seems like it will be a massively inefficient way to rank teams. It’s also 100xs worse for girls basketball.

It’s a joke they think Max Preps knows more than the coaches.

We don’t agree on much but we agree on this.

Should’ve used Martin RPI if they are going down this road

Old system had flaws too. A lot depended on how many league teams in your sectional. At the end of the day, win your games and it all works out.

Strength of schedule never mattered before and now it does, I don’t see an issue with that

Agree 100% but only hesitation is relying on schools to report scores and such. Old system was all about what coaches scratched each others back. It’s a start in the right direction but just need to make sure things are reported timely

For example Fort Frye is 4-2. Maxpreps has them 2-2. Clay Batelle and Trimble games not even listed on there. This is going to be a mess.

SOS is the best part about this, however accurate reporting and updating information could be an issue.
