Trying to give props to all of the players across the SE District who had excellent performances each game night - win or lose! .... offensive or defensive performances! ... starters or off the bench! - players who had outstanding contributions to the TEAM effort ... I only get to 1 game per night - those players get recognized in my writeups BUT there are many, many, many players who deserve to be recognized for what they do for their teams nightly, on teams/games I don't get to - with your assistance WE can make this happen - thanks, pfloyd

Please post exceptional individual performer names/with school name & stat lines from the Week that IS (Tuesday 1/9 - Saturday 1/13/24 :

You're right Ghost of Swanker - Jackson Shoemaker had a solid napkin stat line vs South Webster Tuesday night ... 14 pts/8rbs/4 treys /3 assists ... Myles Montgomery put up equally good numbers 20pts/1 three ball/8 rbs/5 assts & 11/14 from the FT line ... Bennett Kayser 14pts/10 rbs/3 blks ... Jeffery Pica was clutch! he did his best "Adam Crank" imitation as the sr. "do everything" power forward/swing forward/ now 3 point specialist - Pica 8pts/ nailed a pair of 3 pointers in the 2nd half that kept the Falcons on the positive side of the scoring column ...

Let me say respectfully there won’t be any bigger “HIM” performance than sophomore Zaiden Wittekind of Marietta in the Tigers huge win on the road at Warren. Others will have more to say but he scored 22 of his team’s 49 points and did a lot of other things to help Marietta tough out the win.

Jarrett Armstrong tonight vs Frontier set Waterford's all time scoring record for Boys Basketball. Jarrett scored 24 points and was 6-8 behind the arc. Jarrett passed Dave McFarren's scoring record less than a minute into the 4th quarter. McFarren's record had stood for 49 years. Congrats Jarrett! Well deserved young man!

Drew Edmisten (Eastern Brown) 7 pts / 1 triple / 3 transition fgs / 1 game winning 3 ball ... the 5-10 junior pulled off the 4th quarter heroics at the Dave Young Classic Saturday night! getting back to back steals in the backcourt, taking them to the house - the first pulled EB within 2, the 2nd only seconds later drew the Warriors even 42-42, and a 3rd transition bucket was of the 3 point variety - down 2 points 42-44 with under 10 seconds left in the game ... Edmisten intercepted the overthrown pass near half court, dribbled to the left, beyond the arc ... drained the 3 ball with 6.3 left on the clock ... the shot ended up as THE game winner ... Eastern Brown held on to get the W over Blanchester 45-44 a final ...
