Waverly and Jackson rematch, first game between the teams was pretty back and forth until the last 3 minutes and Jackson ran away with it, thoughts on the game?

Yes, but for a while it was bucket for bucket and just a good game to watch. It was pretty evenly matched im going for Jackson in this one by 10

Waverly just broke a 9 game losing streak. It will not be a 2 game winning streak.

Jackson wins, probably tight for a while though.

I think Waverly has the guys to play with just about anybody. But they are still underclassman and haven’t found a way to be consistent. I think they can make Jackson very nervous down the stretch but I do believe Jackson will find a way to get it done.

I also won’t be shocked by a 15+ differential in favor of Jackson either. I’m just not sure how Waverly will come out and play, it’s been a roller coaster season for them with internal/external issues. But there is a trip to the convo on the line and I think if anything the Tiger players will be playing for each other and maybe no one else.. those two things could help them pull off the upset.

I gotta take the Ironmen in this one, this group is hungry to get back to the Convo. I look for C. Woodard and B. Wolford to show up big in this one. Ironmen by 10+.

Lack of true upper classed leadership bites the Tigers in the butt in this one. They can hang w/ anyone on any given night though

Waverly is capable of winning this game. Jackson is solid, but certainly not unbeatable.

Waverly has shown bright moments at times but just not consistent enough to pull out some wins they could have snared, and possibly some games they should have won. A 2 point loss to undefeated D3 Miami Trace was one of those bright moments - a winnable game.

This game is going to be a banger. Throw the age groups and records out the window. 2 vs 7 seed. I think it comes down to the play of the 2 best players on each team:

Wolford & Woodard

Alexander & Hurt

Which ever duo can carry their squads best will earn a trip to the Convo!

I agree... records and seeds don't matter in this one.
I'm interested to see what changes the coaches make from the matchup a couple of weeks ago. If they are able to curb the impact of those primary scorers, the role players might become the difference maker.

Either way, this should be a good one!

If the officiating leans toward the more physical style of tournament play, it might be a slight advantage for Jackson... just a couple of years more experience/growth in that area.

I think Jackson puts foot on the gas and wins by 15.

I predict Jackson 60-42. I would be shocked if this is a barnburner. The Ironmen are better coached and will be ready to go in this one.
