The Lady Buckeyes traveled to Logan Elm Saturday and defeated the Lady Braves by 27 points, handing Logan Elm only their fifth loss on the season. The Lady Buckeyes handed the Lady Wildcats of Waterford only their second loss of the season earlier in the week.

Great job Lady Buckeyes!!!!!!!!

Nelsonville-York stays hot with win at Logan Elm

The Nelsonville-York Lady Buckeyes continued their hot streak on Saturday, with a 78-51 road victory over Logan Elm. The Buckeyes have won four games in a row - with three coming in the last four days. Their record improves to 13-6 while Logan Elm drops to 15-5.
The Buckeyes stormed out to a 22-9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. They stretched the lead out to 56-36 after three quarters.

Kim Kline led Nelsonville-York's scoring with 26 points. She connected on eight field goals - five from 3-point range. Maria Martinez tallied 19 points for the victors while senior Lisa Meade chipped in 18 points.

Asti Powell (six points), Jessica Clay (five points), McKenzie Walter (two points) and Emily McClain (two points) rounded out the scoring for the Buckeyes.

Logan Elm was led by Emily Robinson, who scored 16 points. Heather Evans finished with 15 points.

Nelsonville-York will wrap up the regular season Thursday with a home makeup game against Wellston. The Buckeyes will then play at Wellston on Saturday in the Division III Sectional Tournament.

Very impressive victory!

The only team to put it on LE like that has been state ranked Circleville! This will be a scary team come tourney time! Good luck Buckeyes!

That Waterford game and then Logan Elm are just what the girls needed heading into the tourney. This is a completely different team from the beginning of the season. Playing very unselfish ball right now. Height is the only worry, but defense is clicking right now.
