How'd they do that, three player of year, and three coach of year??????

You'ld think the voters could come down to one of each.........just saying.

It is on a voting basis, but the do not break ties when votes are counted. At least that is how it is done in football, I would assume (yes I know) that basketball would be the same.

Question. I was told that only if a girl made 1st, 2nd, or 3rd team was she considered All Ohio. If that's true then what do you call Special Mention and Honorable Mention and why select anyone to them?

Cant answer ur question falcon26, but would again like to extend my apology regarding my misunderstanding of ur earlier thread about "AP" Southeast All-District team vs. "Coaches" selections, I will say that I saw bits-n-pieces of several SE Ohio girls teams & am happy 2 see approximately 18+ girls nominated for All-Ohio, not knowing all of their classes (frosh, soph.,etc.), looks like the future of SE Ohio girls bball is ripe with talent & should be extremely exciting! The Dawson girl is the real deal & she deserves every bit of the individual awards she receives. Looking ahead, Marietta, Warren, Jackson, Trace, Unioto, Fairland, etc. ALL seem 2 have VERY good core groups returning next year, should be an awesome year! Congrats 2 all the young ladies receiving awards, ur hard work does not go unnoticed & unfortunately sometimes the line between team standings/finishes & individual awards/achievements is skewed by the selection process, I fear there is no perfect solution 2 this matter, see u all in November!
