I was looking through the new enrollment numbers and (unless I missed something) there are only 2 changes to our SE teams.

Chillicothe girls move up to D1
Portsmouth West boys move up to D2

Interestingly, Summit Country Day moved up to D2. Be interesting to see how they do in state tourney this coming year.

SCD has 154 EMIS+154 CB for boys and 146 EMIS +115 CB for girls.....most everyone on those teams must be from outside the district

SCD boys won last 5 state titles. SCD girls won state this last year and has 3 titles since 2011. So D3 will not have either defending champ returning. This should ignite a lot of interest this coming year in D3 tourney.

Can't wait to see the D2 showdown between Summit and DeSales.

My question is how does Summit go from 198 boys to 308 boys (with the competitive balance numbers), but the actual number of boys does not increase 154 and 154..... No wonder they won 5 of 6 championships in DIII...

That’s the point of CB. They have lots of kids from outside the district.

That may not happen as they will have to face Alter and/or Indian Hill at some point before DeSales.

Also understand that they (SCD) play one of the top teams in the country every year (St. Benedict Prep out of New Jersey) and compete very well with them. Last year losing 3-0, while St. Benedict ended up 19-0 and Ranked #1 in the Country.

Dude... it will be Summit vs. Desales in a stunner! Have the crow cooked and ready if I'm wrong. And yeah I know all about the "Invite only best teams in the country showcase" held in NJ each year. Typically the only L notch you'll see on Summit's schedule.

Haven't been called Dude in a long time.

You may know all about the "Invite only the best teams in the country showcase", but you obviously don't know anything about I stated above.

It's not in NJ it's in PA, it's played between St. Benedict Prep, Summit and William Penn Charter. It's been played between the same three schools since it started 2014. And I would hardly call William Penn one of the country's best.

And it may be DeSales and Summit in the State Semi-Finals next year.
