Good luck to Coach Martin and his Minford Falcons. Show'em how baseball is played here in southern Ohio.

Just got off the phone with one of the Minford players. Minford won the first game this evening 6-0. But, it got called a little early because it started to rain. Oesch and Farmer I heard had really good hitting performances. Farmer pitched a one hitter. Congrats to the Falcons, and good luck Saturday.

Good to see the Falcons recooperate after that hard loss to Wheelersburg. Hope this win will help the Minford team gain back some confidence and turn into some more SOC wins when they come home. Good luck in the rest of the trip!

Good win for the Falcons. Looks like they put that game on Wednesday behind them and that is what it takes to be a good team. Sometimes it is hard to travel far away and get a win.

Just got off the phone with 'Torch' Johnson and heard the Mighty Minford Falcons picked up another victory in Tennessee, with the final being 12-1. Sean Cook pitched for the Falcons, but those are the only details I got. Please post details on the game.. hits, defensive plays, etc...

The Falcons picked up another win down in Tennessee today. They won 12-1 in 5 innings of work. Shaun Cook pitched a masterful game. It's really nice to see the Falcons come back and win two games in a row after the nightmare against Wheelersburg. Hopefully the Falcons have a safe trip home and come back ready to take on Oak Hill Monday.

Is there anyway to post a picture into a reply without it being a URL? I found some nice shots on the internet of the field where Minford played on Friday. It is the home field for Belmont University and the field/turf is phenomenal. Meticulous attention to detail would be an understatement.

I think if you post the exact site of the picture inside the 'Img' thing it will show the picture on the site. Not sure though.

First I would like to offer congrats to the Falcons on the two wins over the weekend in Music City. Second, I lived in Nashville, Tn. for 5 years and Belmont has gone from an NAIA program to the D I level. Teams in the south get at least an extra season or season and a half on us because they usually end up playing 40-50 games per year in high school baseball alone.

Good wins for the Falcons. I am glad to see they rebounded strong from the drubbing they encountered during the Burg game.
