Rock Hill Redmen clinches outright 2018 OVC championship!

I only have Portsmouth at 1-1 0-0 in conference play, updates are ridiculous to find

I'll try and keep updated for you guys as best as I can. But don't think there has been much to update, as the Trojans haven't played in 8 days due to rain, snow and a school trip. Long layoff before OVC play is going to be tough. But the Trojans have showed improvement in fundamentals and attitude. They seem to play with a good energy. That's definitely new. Portsmouth has some good seniors but the team is young, often starting 5-6 freshmen and sophomores.

Coach McGraw is one of the best coaches around very passionate Portsmouth is lucky to have him give him time and he will turn that program around.

Portsmouth at Chesapeake was cancelled. Chesapeake’s field was not playable. Makeup is Wednesday. Peake will play a DH at Portsmouth starting at 5:00.

Ironically, this was a good ball game. I believe it was 5-4 in the last inning and Chesapeake score 9 runs. Looked as if Portsmouth pitcher got hurt. He came out and Chesapeake scored a bunch. Chesapeake lefty threw the ball well.

Game 2 came down to the last inning. Peake jumped out 3-0 early. Trojans pecked away and cut the lead. Portsmouth scored 2 runs in the last inning to cut the lead to 5-4 with bases loaded and 2 outs. Just couldn't capitalize.
Chesapeake hit the ball well all day.

Very well pitched ballgame by both pitchers. 0-0 through 5. Very fun game to watch. A well played, solid high school baseball game.

Another good ballgame by the Trojans. Kinney with a great pitching outing.
Portsmouth battled back from down 2-0. Ended on a walkoff suicide squeeze. That was exciting.
