Northridge beat RiverView tonight (6-0) on a fumble recovery in the end zone. RiverView was (0-10) last season.

Re: Week 2: Johnstown Northridge (1-0) @ Fort Frye (1-0)
Fort Frye comes into this game on a current 23 game reg season win streak. They have not lost a game since Oct 17 2014!
This is the 3rd year in a row the Cadets have played the unfamiliar foe in Northridge. Johnstown has played them tough both times.

The Vikings were the only team to lose by less then 20 in the reg season last year vs Fort Frye.

The Vikings did a good job last year breaking down the previous week's game. They will be keying on Fisher early.
Not to take away from Belpre. They are explosive, but I thought The Cadets' youth showed on defense. They should improve a lot over the course of the year.

The middle of the defense was impressive. The young DBs have talent they just need the in game experience.

Northridge lone score came on fumble recovery in endzone during 4th qtr. For some perspective, Riverview is 2-39 in their last 41 games.

Hope the Cadets keep it rollin and make 24 in a row

Anyone have the inside scoop on why The Vikings are coming to Beverly two years in a row? I was surprised to see them on the schedule again, much less traveling here.

Well they were actually replaced by Warren on the Fort schedule. Then the Newcomerstown series ended and it opened up Week 2. Fort said they would do another home/home with Northridge but they said they wanted to have the home game first. Just speculation but I think Fort was worried Northridge would play us at there place again then buy out the contract.
Re: Week 2: Johnstown Northridge (1-0) @ Fort Frye (1-0)
I know scheduling is harder than it seems. This season is much better than recent years, but this is such an oddball game anyway. The important thing is for Fort Frye to win my Thanksgiving bragging rights again. Beat Waterford and Northridge and I'm good.

I hope these kids are not looking forward to Waterford.

Fort Frye is better in the trenches they are not the fastest Fort team. The rain might slow the game down but I'm not sure the Vikings can stop the run. They didn't look like a very big team from what I saw. Big backs Bradford and Schob should have big games. If they give Fisher space he's gone. Fisher is a sophmore Hybrid of Lockery/Lewis. He's now a shifty as Lewis or as powerful but he is strong for his frame. He's also a good rec out of the slot. I can't wait to watch him develop.
