They don't look good but Jackson always struggles with any team with speed. Jackson 35-28

Alec lives 200 ft away from me lol
Evan Bruce Smith and Trevin Meredith I believe was his name we’re the guys who would usually be around
Smith was a pretty reliable back about a dozen years ago. I know he had a 1,000 season. He was a work horse for Coach Wolford

Smith was definitely tough to take down. The guy I remember the most tho was from my junior year lineman John Leonard one of the best lineman I ever played against so freaking strong

Jackson hasn’t had much playoff success over the years. Usually one and done

I played d line so I more saw him on offense. But he was definitely one of the best o lineman I played against but I don’t want to keep talking if there past on this post I’ll be there to see if Jackson can take care of centennial

Can’t really use those teams when talking about D3 playoffs. Both would lose by 30 the first round in D3

You said speed and never said anything about team or division in your original comment.

Those two teams didn’t have speed. Lane ruby is speed.
Don’t know what centennial has but Jackson hasn’t faced elite speed where it took 11 defenders doing their job to contain them. IMO

I like our chances lining up against anyone playing the way they did against Chillicothe. They play like that it’ll take another teams beat effort and catching the breaks to beat em.

Ed Ott wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2019 11:11 am I got to watch both games (well kind of) Centennial handled Chillicothe back before Chillicothe got it figured out but Centennial is very good. The Jackson game I left at half for obvious reasons. The RB for Centennial is a stud. Jackson’s back is very good too. Jackson’s defense is better I think but I don’t know if they can keep Centennial’s back under 100 yards. I doubt they have faced anyone as good as him.

I think Jackson will win at home but they better be ready for a slugfest. Centennial seemed very disciplined. They won’t retaliate with personal foul after personal foul.

Jackson 30
Centennial 28
Edd , is Chillicothe always so dirty and undisciplined?
I only made it to 5 games, I don’t know was going on at Jackson. I saw Jackson blocking and continuing to block through the whistle. Some of them seemed a bit much but Chillicothe kids would wait until after the play and go swinging or whatever they were doing. Centennial won’t do that but they won’t like that physical blocking until the whistle. I didn’t see Chillicothe acting like that much the other games. I don’t know. Hope that was just a one time thing.
I noticed the same thing as far as the blocking was concerned, especially in the defensive backfield. The thing is, and I'm not trying to tell you because I know you know the rules, is that the kids are taught to play until the whistle blows. I agree that from the get go, that Jackson was just dominating in every facet of the game, and everything that could go wrong for the Cavaliers was happening, that they just lost there cool and it got worse from there on out. I also think the way they had played the past 3 or 4 games, that they really thought that they would give the Ironmen a competitive game. No excuse regardless for the way they acted, plus I would have hoped that the Coaching Staff from Chillicothe would have had a little better control over there own players.

1989: Jackson 27 - Centennial 19 (at Centennial)
1990: Jackson 42 - Centennial 14 (at Jackson)
Thanks. Good to know I can still remember dates, even if the details elude me.
