Ohio State- 6-0
Michigan State- 6-0

Remaining Schedules:
Ohio State-
@Wisconsin (5-1)
Purdue (3-2)
@Minnesota (1-5)
Penn State (3-3)
@Iowa (4-1)
Michigan (5-1)

Michigan State-
Illinois (3-2)
@Northwestern (5-1)
@Iowa (4-1)
Minnesota (1-5)
Purdue (3-2)
@Penn State (3-3)

I think that MSU will slip up somewhere along the line, but what would the college football talking heads do if two teams from the same conference were undefeated?

they could do like every other conference in america except the dinosaur's , have a conference title game.

this highlights the weakness of the big ten , esp this year. And the stupidy of the entire BCS process. MSU could pull a Boise. beat no one (or maybe 1 decent team ) , win a bowl game , and claim " We're # 1 We're # 1 MSU could go undefeated and not beat top 15 team heading into the bowls.

It depends on what the rest of the college world does. If they were both the only remaining undefeated teams at the end of the regular college season, they should play for the NC.

I think Mich St will have their hands full with Northwestern and Iowa, both on the road. If they can get past those 2 games, they could only beat themselves.

They could "pull a Boise St"....now that is funny. Let start comparing BIG TEN schools to the WAC. Are you Buckeye/Big Ten haters really getting THAT desperate? REALLY?

If there are 4 teams left undefeated at the end of the year & they are Ohio State, Michigan State, Boise State & TCU then yes, it should be Ohio State vs Michigan State for the National Championship.

another big ten kool aide drinker I guess . I just could'nt disagree more that Boise or MSU deserve to be there. Osu does , far above those 2 . more than 1 loss SEC team or 1 loss PAC ten team ? Not the way it should be ---we have to have a playoff. MD (Boise would be more desrving than MSU)

And South Carolina, who just HANDLED Bama, is still ranked below them in the polls at one loss each.

So enough with the polls. Its about winning their games.

And if tOSU and Mich St win out, they should BOTH go in over schools from small conferences who play a terrible schedule.

over Boise ? I can listen to that argument -- over a 1 loss SEC , Big 12 or Pac ten team ? NO WAY at all. MD

Why? Why would an unbeaten have to even contend with a one loss team, both from major BCS conferences?

Lets put it this way.......what team plays in the Rose Bowl from the Big 10? The winner of the conference does (unless the winner is selected as a participant for the NC game, which then it would go to the conference runner up as long as they were bowl eligible).

Now.....last I checked the Rose Bowl is a BCS bowl. Would you deny Mich St to play in the Rose Bowl, if they won the conference? I assume you would say "no", so how can you say you would deny them to play in the big BCS game?

actually how this works is they would be co champions of the big ten. msu would go to the rose bowl , since ohio state was just there last year. and ohio state would play in the bcs national championmship game. and lest we forget northwestrn is still undefeated.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. HAHA. HAHAHA. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Wow. Come on. Seriously?

Im the first person to tell you that Boise or TCU deserves no shot at the title game unless drastic things happen. But...Michigan State? Really? Against Ohio State for the National Championship?? Going undefeated in a conference in which you DO NOT PLAY the best team in your conference means absolutely nothing to me. In fact, it will hurt Sparty. 1 loss SEC, 1 loss Pac 10 (assuming its Oregon), Boise, TCU would/should get in before these teams. Honestly...if my Gators were to win out and dominate the SEC title game over an undefeated LSU or 1-loss Alabama team, then they would deserve it over Michigan State. Obviously, this will not happen and it will work itself out.

Why Boise/TCU over Sparty?

They both play an alright Oregon State team. They (Or St.) would probably fare well in the Big Ten. Also, Boise played Va Tech and TCU plays at Utah. The road game at Utah for TCU will be tougher than any game on Sparty's schedule. At Iowa is the only game that compares.

Ohio State started the season out ranked number 2, the voters must of thought they were good enough to be ranked there. So far they have done their part and won all their games, so it doesn't matter Manitou Dan if you like them or not, cause your vote doesn't count. :lol: :lol:

If case you havent figured it out yet, Va Tech always starts the year ranked high, lose to teams they shouldnt, everyone figures out they are a pretender and they fall in the polls. Any team that thought the win over Va Tech was a quality win gets let down.

Ask yourself this since you are an SEC fan.....if Auburn runs the table should they play for the National Championship over an unbeaten Boise State/TCU vs lets say an unbeaten Ohio State or Oregon? Of course they should. Why? The SEC is a much tougher conference than the WAC or Mountain West conferences. But according to you Auburn should get snubbed because they are not one of the top 2 teams in the conference year in and year out.

So why wouldnt Michigan St be any different? Major conferences are (in no particular order) SEC, Big 10, Pac 10 and Big 12. You might not like it, but its the gospel in college football. Unbeatens out of those conferences should be the teams playing the big bowl games, including the BCS NC game.

And I dont see Oregon State faring well if they were in the Big Ten. They would finish bottom 4 almost every year.
