For good reason, all have multiple state championships

True.

But also these three programs were making the playoffs every year at a time that only the Top Four teams of each region made the playoffs not 8teams. Which making the post season VERY TOUGH to do at the time. Especially in DIII-Region 11. We have bounce around some. But we have found ourselves in DIII-Region 11 ALOT. If All the 8-2 and 9-1 1990s era Jackson teams that DID NOT get in could have got in all those years. Jackson would have been known as a annual state playoff team then as well. Which at the time just making the play-offs was a HUGE deal!!!

Don’t get me wrong I’m going to give credit where credit is due. They deserve it!

Larry Hall-Tha Burg, Bob Lutz - Ironton , Ron Hinton-Amanda ClearCreek we’re house hold names of high school football in the 1990s........
There is a difference in making the playoffs and winning a state title , not to mention multiple state titles. We haven’t even won a regional championship as of today. If we had a couple state title rings we would be right up there with Ironton and Wheelersburg.

That sure would be nice. But sometimes I feel the dominance of Jackson football that was taking place through most if not all of the 1990s would have been different even without a state title that those teams of 8-2 9-1 that were missing the playoffs by literally thousandths of points time in and time again would have
Made it those years during the era of only top four teams makin the post season we would have least got the state playoff love

This NFHS streaming service for $10.99 is AWFUL

90% static, poor quality picture and replays keep freezing

A little feisty looking out there...but with the sound of the livestream I’m about ready to go stab a baby penguin so we’re all a bit ornery

94 team was rolled by Nelsonville
95 team was rolled by Ironton
97 team was beat by VC and beat round 1 of playoffs

Not sure those guys would’ve won any regional championships
