Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #12
... any teams planning on doing the "double-header" back to back on the same day that is allowed by OHSAA ??? I can see it happening BUT ... not too many teams are deep enough to do this on the same day with 2 different teams ... an afternoon/evening schedule ? interesting though ... many of the kids do multiple game days during AAU seasons ...

...C34C34 ... how does this system on D play with what PW has coming back next season - this season the length out front in the 1-3-1 plays havoc with the smaller guards that most opponents have ... I know that the JV team plays the same 1-3-1 ... will the personnel that Coach McC has returning lend itself to similar results next season?

We won’t return as much length but of the 11 guys that has seen decent varsity time this year, 4 return. JV team hasn’t played as much 1-3-1 but there is some decent length on the team.pfloyd wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 2:41 pm...C34C34 ... how does this system on D play with what PW has coming back next season - this season the length out front in the 1-3-1 plays havoc with the smaller guards that most opponents have ... One thing Coach McClanahan has shown is he doesn't have a "style". He will adjust his scheme to fit the personnel he has. They basically changed the entire scheme between game 1 and game 3. But defense and transition will always be the foundation.Cameron34Crazie34 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 3:45 pmWe won’t return as much length but of the 11 guys that has seen decent varsity time this year, 4 return. But yes. Dixon, Sissel, and Davis will be back and they all play out front in this defense and Coleman at point is really coming into his own. With a couple guys moving up from the JV next year's team will be quicker, but won't have Moore underneath so they will probably be more perimeter oriented on offense
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #12
The Senators Big Man in the middle , Rodney Moore has been outstanding in the games I have watched this season - he imo has been one of if not THE best post player at getting and holding his position in the paint/on the blocks on offense and finishing - great footwork, hands ... very smooth when he gets the ball in position on the blocks - very nice player for PW and Coach McClanahan ...Westfan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 4:09 pmOne thing Coach McClanahan has shown is he doesn't have a "style".
