Re: RIP John Madden
Great coach, great sportscaster, and great person. He was much more than a name on a video game. Urban legend has it he never flew to games as coach or tv crew. He rode trains and had his own private touring bus.

Re: RIP John Madden
How odd. Fox just had a big special show on him before the Browns game on Christmas Day. Glad I watched it now. Omega they interviewed him on the plane thing and it's true he hated planes. He did fly when he was a coach. He said he had a panic attack on one before takeoff in 1979 and wondered if he should bust through the door or just gut it out and hope he make it. He vowed to never fly in one again after that. He started taking trains but TV execs said it was taking too much time. He went on Dolly Parton's touring bus and loved it so much he got his own bus and the rest is history. He was the guy who made the Louisiana Thanksgiving dish turducken popular. RIP

RIP John. I can still hear your voice during the games on my home consoles. A true legend.
