Re: Meigs 2023
My first official act as the new baseball coach will be to hire a strength coach and make the baseball kids lift during the season. Is there anyone at Meigs with a solid background in S&C?

Re: Meigs 2023
T is Head Football Coach David Tennant. He is only the best coach to strap on cleats at Meigs in the last 15 years. Dude can crank out offense like its nobodys business and he builds monsters in the weight room.

I agree with MM. T is the best thing that’s happened to Meigs in a long time. The only problem at Meigs is Daddy Ball and everyone is a golden child. If they would just strap it up and play ball, you would be surprised what Meigs could do
Re: Meigs 2023
Everyone trashing Meigs should stop. They can’t help who the school hired or kids leaving in their own accord. There must be people who are proud of what the program once was. Cut them some slack. They are trying to pick up the pieces

Re: Meigs 2023
With that pitching they should be undefeated against local teams. They don’t score enough. They need to let T come out and coach third base and work on team speed. That would be good for another 5-6 runs a game.
Re: Meigs 2023
They just don’t have what it takes to do anything in the tournament. Dominant pitching can get you through a soft league but it’s hard to even get past a district when you can’t score and rely on one arm to carry you. It’s like they don’t even practice hitting or try to be aggressive and score. You gotta average 5+ runs a game to have a shot at being the best and Meigs is far from it

Yes, having multiple pitchers significantly helps, but Meigs has reached the district finals the last two years. Once as a 16 seed and then last year as a 7 seed, which shows that they have some nice pieces, especially since they have been dominant in those district semis.
Do they have enough to win a regional? Probably not, but I wouldn’t count them out to reach another district final this season, which would be a solid season.

The first year meigs should have been higher then a 16 seed though having been 16-7 and outright TVC Ohio Champs
