River city sports media
The new and upcoming media of southeast Ohio. With broadcast of any sport live interview with players, game footage, Podcast every Friday at the ribber in Portsmouth Ohio, and a group off guys who work there tail off to get what they want. This new media scene is going to blow up with the main focus of Rcsm is to cover the least covered area in all of Ohio because no one believes in the southeast district anymore everyone looks down on it and really good players who were in a bigger part of Ohio would have multiple division one offers. They bring spotlight on players team coaches the community's for the southeast district and everyone apart of it. Socials are Rcsm740 on every platform including twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Be on the lookout for Rcsm at Ur local games and more come talk to them and ask them about it very friendly people and people who just love the game.

Awesome. IMO you can never have too much local coverage. My buddy and I had considered starting something local years ago, but never did. I’ll definitely give you guys a follow on the platforms I’m on.

"rcsm" is a bit of an unfortunate acronym, but more coverage the better! I love SOSA's stuff, but they don't venture into Washington County much or at all.
Re: River city sports media
... will the RCSM go to Washington County? it looks like they are staying in the Portsmouth/SOC1,2,3 area ... I might be wrong but if there weekly podcast at the Ribber is any indication - along the big river up thru Ironton is a coverage boundary ?SoccerDad wrote: Sun May 18, 2025 10:20 am "rcsm" is a bit of an unfortunate acronym, but more coverage the better! I think we're just stuck with your basketball coverage and the Marietta Times!

SOSA is great, but they tend to lean/favor Ross county, and that’s fine because that’s where they are based out of. They do an excellent job at still getting to other schools and covering and promoting them. That said I would assume RCSM being based out of Scioto County/Portsmouth podcast that they’ll will lean/favor Scioto County but do a great job covering other areas too. Seen they had something about Waverly and South Point just by scrolling on their X. So that’s 3 counties right there, I assume Ross, Jackson, Adams & Gallia will all for sure be featured, with the possibility of Meigs, Brown, Vinton & Athens. Looks to be only like a 6-7 man team, they can only do so much.

They have people going to Sheridan to cover games tomorrow and waverly also paint valley etc during basketball season they have only been up for 6 months with only 5 workers and only 2 of them can go everyday because the others have jobs also they will have coverage all of southern Ohio because this is the least cover area and they have great chances end up being bigger then Sosa.BuckeyeBlood wrote: Sun May 18, 2025 10:28 pm SOSA is great, but they tend to lean/favor Ross county, and that’s fine because that’s where they are based out of. Would love to see some sort of weekly picks like the daily times used to do, maybe weekly game previews, pre season show, maybe some interviews during the summer with players, maybe getting out to some open gyms, media days and what not. That’s some stuff we don’t see in this areaLovehoops4 wrote: Wed May 21, 2025 1:47 amThey have people going to Sheridan to cover games tomorrow and waverly also paint valley etc during basketball season they have only been up for 6 months with only 5 workers and only 2 of them can go everyday because the others have jobs also they will have coverage all of southern Ohio because this is the least cover area and they have great chances end up being bigger then Sosa.BuckeyeBlood wrote: Sun May 18, 2025 10:28 pm SOSA is great, but they tend to lean/favor Ross county, and that’s fine because that’s where they are based out of.
