Again, no stat lines... but this was a great run. All 3 teams played hard, physical, got after it on D, and shot pretty well.bc181700 wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 8:21 am Eastern Brown/Chesapeake/Jackson scrimmage today, Wednesday. Excited to see this matchup... I believe at 11am.
I didn't get to see all of the quarters played (missed a few of the EB vs Peake), but there were no blow out quarters at all.
Peake seemed their strongest when they were pressuring 3/4 court. And they have some strong bodies underneath, not to mention the classic penetrate and create offense. It's just fun to watch when players are allowed to play.
EB was also strong, enjoyed the contact. I don't know the lineup sizes, but they seemed pretty big and strong. Didn't have the obvious scoring threat, just kind of meshed the buckets together when they became available. Mass % of those from 8 ft and in, and put backs/2nd chances.
Jackson continued to get to the bucket very well. And when they play more "free" but still make good shot decisions, they are GOOD. If they get stuck in the methodical offense they seem to lose focus of the goal... to score. They had moments of struggling with aggressive pressure, but once they figured that out they put transition points on the board quickly. If they get a single step past your press, they are likely scoring a layup.
Absolutely a GREAT 2.5+ hour scrimmage between 3 teams that I cannot imagine anywhere but close to the tippy top of their respective leagues.

As far as the quarters. went for Peake. They beat Eastern Brown 2 out of 3 and against Jackson won one, tied one and lost one. Very physical games.

Very good scrimmages today for the varsity and reserve squads. .Great warm ups for the coming season.
Quarter #1 Fast and furious: MT 23 Peebles 21,quarter #2 MT 21- Peebles 19., Quarter#3 MT by 10 Q 4 Peebles by 9 ,Quarter #5 MT bu I think 3. The size of MT gave Peebles some fits at times. Peebles shot well and were never really out of it . Last quarter both squads tried some different lineups and they both playedpretty well. Peebles Freshman played well after initial stage fright against the panther size Overall it was a fun and learning scrimmage for both squads.
