Portsmouth just picks up where it left off with the Dragons last year. Dragons are intimidated by us. They will be beat before they get off the bus. Can’t wait to see KeKe flipping down the courts like Simone, SiSi gliding like Durant around the court and Hayven playing like old school Barkley (or maybe Mike Tyson never know). Just jokin. Coach Amy is in Buckanon’s head.

Trojans with a running clock late. Not even a bump on the way to the title.

Is Portsmouth going to have a team? If Portsmouth only starts with 5 I take Fairland by 8. If Portsmouth has a bench. Portsmouth by 14. Never know with this team from week to week who is gonna be there.

Portsmouth City Schools were cancelled for today.......don't know if that will decide whether the game will be played or not, but PCS does have a policy if there is no school, a game can still be played.

As far as the game, I expect the Lady Trojans to give Fairland a heavy dose of defense like last season. That was the difference in the 3 games that Portsmouth won against the Lady Dragons.

Portsmouth vs. Fairland has turned out to be one of the marquee matchups in all of the SE district, boys or girls. Two programs who have multiple Final 4's on their resume; last year they met in the State Semifinals, with the Lady Trojans winning 62-40 and then coming home with the State Championship, beating Creston Norwayne 53-38.

Fairland game plan is great and their execution is on point. They have really taken Woods and Carter out of the game on the offensive end.

First post on here. Not sure how it works. I watched the stream, but I missed the backflips? Do you only do that when you win? Or maybe just when you have the lead in general? If so, I guess there wasn't much opportunity for that tonight. Maybe Coach Amy will have dreams of dragons tonight. I'm sure they're in her head now...

Fairland moves to 20-3 against Portsmouth in their entire time in OVC. Probably not super intimidated

Coach Buch and the ladies had a great game plan and executed against an athletic Lady Trojan team. Rd. 2 should be a barn burner.

Portsmouth missed too many free throws and had a lot of uncharacteristic turnovers. Can get by with those things against the bad OVC teams, not Fairland or other quality teams. Need to cut down on the fouls, giving up free points there. Thought Fairland had a very good game plan tonight. Return game in Proctorville should be a dandy.

I watched the game and sat close behind Portsmouth’s bench Carter is out of control cussing her teammates out #2 Allen and not hustling. That kid has so much potential but if coach doesn’t get her under control it can be the downfall of the Trojans. They have potential to repeat as state champions but having that kind of attitude can ruin a team no matter how talented. I have been around the game all my life and it’s been years since I have seen a player act that way she is one of the leaders of the team and that just was not a good look. Woods is as fast as lightning and I feel like they went away from her driving to the rim her shot was off a little but getting to the foul line could have helped. I feel like they went away from Allen also. Should be a great game at Fairland and congrats to coach Buchanan.

Can't wait to for the rematch at Fairland as it should be a great game to watch. Not sure on the free throw percentage for Portsmouth but it had to be 50% or less. If that is corrected they will be hard to beat. Portsmouth really seemed unprepared for this game. I was shocked that Fairlands weak press gave them so much trouble. This was not the Portsmouth team I thought I was gonna see.
Both teams have a bit to work on. I was slightly surprised by the defensive pressure Fairland was able to successfully
apply.
I hope both teams end up in seperate sides of the bracket again this year so we can hopefully have both teams with a run to the final 4.

The loss of Reid is huge for the trojans, that was the other scoring option. I don't believe Carter #5 can carry you if Allen is being contained. I think they all are a great defenders but offensively have limitations except for Allen #1,

Everyone was downplaying the loss of Reid because of all the remaining talent but it did show last night. Still a ton of talent but definitely not the same team as last year.
First time I have even seen a team keep adding players mid season. I think Portsmouth have went from 6 to 5 and now have 8 players.

Also, just watched the final 2 minutes. Not sure what Portsmouth was doing offensively. Tied 36-36 and did absolutely nothing. The couldn't get the ball to Allen #1 and freaked out. The final minutes offensively was not very good
