Looks like a relatively light schedule for the Peake this season. A couple opponents are too early to tell much, such as Ironton.

Awesome! Hats off to those that are making this still happen! Let's just hope Mother Nature doesn't have any mischievous plans up her sleeve that weekend or at all period the rest of the season. Highly doubt she will oblige...

As stated earlier we will resume the Battle in the 740 on January 24 and 25, 206 at Shawne State University. We plan to have at east four games each day with schedule for the 25th being Bishop Hartley girls vs Federal Hocking girls, Unioto girls vs Wheelersburg girls, Wheelersburg boys vs Unioto boys and Fairland boys vs Harvest Prep boys.

I have been wondering the same thing. If I don't see or hear anything by Thursday morning or afternoon, I might try to get in touch with someone at SSU in an attempt to find out anything more

Please be advised that the Battle in the 740 scheduled this weekend January 24 & 25, 2026 at Shawnee State University is cancelled due to the potential of inclement weather.
The Battle in the 740 will return next season on December 5 & 6, 2026 at Shawnee State University for their fourth season.

Would have had some excellent matchups. Very unfortunate.

Huntington vs North Adams
Chesapeake vs Africentric
Fairland vs Harvest Prep
Unioto vs Wheelersburg

Those were the games that I seen were scheduled to be played. Running out of time, but if those matchups could still be arranged at one school's home floor with an agreement for the home team to travel to the visitor's school the following season (if possible) it would be ideal. I was particularly interested in the Wheelersburg vs Unioto game. That would have likely been a barnburner of a game between two schools that receive outstanding support from their respective communities and travel in high numbers to road contests. I am sure Huntington, NA, Burg, Peake, Fairland, and Unioto would all prefer to get 22 games in before tournament play begins.

We agree the matchups were very good and would have probably been outstanding games, The decision to cancel was reviewed with AD's and coaches before the decision to cancel was made with the safety of all involved the number one reason to cancel

We hope to see good crowds again next year as the matchups will again be very competitive

Oh I completely 100% agree with canceling it. The safety of folks is far more important than ANY sporting event. I was merely stating that is was unfortunate mother nature had to wreck such a great event, but canceling it is a no-brainer...

The Battle in the 614- Boys and Girls @ Ohio Dominican University December 5 & 6, 2026 22 to 24 teams
The Battle in the 740- Boys and girls @ Shawnee State University December 12 & 13, 2026 24 teams
The Battle in the 614= Boys @ Ohio Dominican University January 16,17 & 18, 2027 38 teams
Battle in the Convo @ Ohio University date TBA
