I wouldn’t get too down on Ironton. The wins over Chesapeake, Fairland, and South Webster tell me they are legit (although like you said, probably not the best team in the region). Ashton Layne playing at potential District POY/All Ohio level. Mullins does a solid job running the point for them. Fun team to watch.

Bigger takeaway from that game though is that Burg showed they are capable of matching up athletically with anyone around. A team with a skilled big could cause them problems, but Burg will always have 5 kids on the floor who can all defend, handle, and score. Prater and staff look like they have righted the ship from last year’s rough regular season*

The Peake is there also a four point loss at Ironton on a bad shooting night. They came from 11 down and got it to 2 before Ironton hit their free throws. Early in the OVC schedule and a lot of things can happen.
