Waverly 50 Meigs 47 a final
Re: Waverly 50 Meigs 47 a final
The reason I have asked about what is your record is because Ryan Davis has a good record as a coach (300plus wins). No coach is perfect and I question decisions sometimes but I am not the coach. Personal friend and I heard it when he was at Bloom Carroll before coming to Meigs. You take Carson Davis out of the picture what does Meigs have. Owen is becoming a good little guard. The transfer is sitting out now. Very young team and lack of experience. I saw one kid on crutches the other night .Rough year as they lost a lot to graduation and a transfer.
But to blame all losses on Davis is ridiculous. Heard some of the same (other than Daddy ball) when he was at The Peake.

If you take him out of the picture we wouldn’t have daddy ball and we’d have Reed who was our best player. Who knows, without daddy ball we might’ve got a chance to see that great coach you keep talking about grandpa.peake71 wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 12:46 pm The reason I have asked about what is your record is because Ryan Davis has a good record as a coach (300plus wins). How much of the transfer having to sit out do you put on Coach Davis? Known since June he was transferring, Davis knows the rules, I would think he would want to get all i's dotted and all t's crossed after Ironton debacle.

Nah, preoccupied with getting junior as many points as possible and a scholly. Everything else is secondary at best. Daddy ball at its finest.MightyIronOakFan wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 2:47 pmpeake71 wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 12:46 pm The reason I have asked about what is your record is because Ryan Davis has a good record as a coach (300plus wins). Daddy ball and mommy issues. That’s what we get with the current leadership. Ain’t it great to be a Marauder.MightyIronOakFan wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 3:58 pm Supposedly he is back playing tonight according to his mom's flipping off emoji on Instagram![]()

They may have some player development, offense and a defense. Right now they dont run offense. They play defense 4 on 5 because big boy doesn't play a lick of defense. Without a 6'8 Steph Curry wannabe they may have another player who would develop for next year. Davis won't be coaching Meigs next year. They'll be lucky to win 2 postseason games anyway.peake71 wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 12:46 pm The reason I have asked about what is your record is because Ryan Davis has a good record as a coach (300plus wins). If the coaches son is the best player he should shoot the ball every time he touches it. That’s what I always tell my sons to do. If that’s called daddy ball then so be it. It is what it is.Bigtimefan wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 8:31 pmThey may have some player development, offense and a defense. Right now they dont run offense.
