Big game coming up Tuesday 1/13 - Wheelersburg @ Jackson

If Burg handles Jackson which i believe they will, Burg will ranked 1 or 2 soon

I'll admit I haven't been to as many games as I would of liked to at this point so far in the season so I always like to read through your rankings, big game tomorrow night in Marietta when Warren heads that way...

Southeast D5 is deep. Eastern Brown sitting at 10-0 and they are currently 4th in the RPI behind Burg, Peake and Ironton.

Looks good Pfloyd

The Ironmen have a strong test ahead these next 4 games as they host Wheelersburg, Chillicothe…then travel to Washington CH and then back home for Miami Trace. Any off games there will result in losses

Warren has won 4 in a row and may be able to win this one over Marietta with any combination of Tiger injuries, sickness or bad foul trouble. Tigers have won seven in a row and have lost only against two teams nobody else in the East or Southeast can defeat. Still, expect a good battle -- first game was 51-43 and Warriors have improved since then.

Marietta is looking to sweep the season series for the first time since I believe the 08-09 season.

Somebody make a case for Circleville at No. 2 and Unioto at No. 4.

Circleville -- One quality win (Miami Trace). Two "bad" losses -- to Teays Valley (6-5) and to Hamilton Twp. (5-7). A .441 OWP.
Unioto -- Only quasi-quality win (Zane Trace), but otherwise a weak schedule except for losses against Jackson and Chillicothe.

Several other teams stronger strength of schedule, more quality wins and, in some cases, no "bad" losses.

Sometimes there are mitigating factors (key injuries, sickness, etc) that can cause a loss and should be factored in when fairly evaluating a team. Maybe there is more to learn about these two teams. A case can me made for Ironton, Chillicothe, Wheelersburg and Marietta being ranked above both Circleville and Unioto, pending mitigating factors.

Eastern Brown is having the perfect start to the season. They had a huge road win at Peebles last Tuesday. As an Eastern fan, I knew they were going to be solid, but there were MANY questions and uncertainties. When their leading scorer transferred, the biggest question was , "Can they score points? There is no denying they are a defensive force. Who is going to replace the 17 points per game that left? " I dont think anyone imagined Matthew Dick taking a HUGE leap to the next level. He is averaging 16 points a game, a 65% fgp. Add the 30 block shots in 10 games, it is safe to say while a different style of play, he is picking up the mantle. Four players are averaging double figures. They have really exceeded expectations. They have victories over quality teams Peebles, Fayetteville. They also beat D3 Western Brown easily, and D3 Hillsboro(they are down this year). They have the more challenging half of their schedule coming up. They will be playing Cincinnati Country Day, Williamsburg (featuring their former leading scorer), South Webster, Waverly, and North Adams twice. D5 is a Gauntlet this year with Ironton, Chesapeake, Zane Trace and more. If the Warriors keep getting better, and their depth keeps making huge contributions, throw in Coach Beucler's magic dust, this might be an interesting tournament.

Chillicothe has lost their mojo since the unioto game, and even in that one they struggled they aren’t nearly good enough offensively, with their athleticism you would think they would play with some pace but instead play slow ball and rely on defense. Will need to pick it up or this group of athletes will be wasted. This team has great size and athleticism but doesn’t shot the ball well.

Beucler is a good coach and always seems to have his teams ready. ThePeake scrimmaged them at Jackson and it was good for both teams. They played pretty much even.

Miami Trace bout to take over that #1 spot 🙌🏻

Weird Maxprep has Trace ranked pretty high

Circleville not as high and they beat Trace and they are D4, you would think they would have Circleville ranked higher than Trace overall in Ohio but they dont

Ohio
Trace - #27

Circleville - #125

Strength of schedule maybe….wondering each team’s record if they played the other team’s schedule.
