Mattucci is a great player. How many times have you seen him? No question Bowers had a great game and Mattucci not. New Albany overall was really off, and credit Miami Trace for employing an excellent defensive scheme. But you take one game and trash a kid?
Well sir i didn’t trash the kid, my post was praising Bowers, saying he was better i didn’t say he didn’t deserve to go to Toledo im just saying Bowers cooked him
OK, perhaps I overstated. So do you think Bowers is a better player and college basketball prospect than Mattucci? Because you essentially made that judgement.
Yes im saying dude is worthy of Toledo
And Gage a sophomore who cooked this dude should be worthy of a better school than toledo.

I don’t even know whats going here…lol

What you’re essentially saying is Gage isn’t worthy.

Gage is a very good player and may develop into a mid-major D-1 college player. And he did a tremendous job Saturday. But for someone to say he’s a higher D-1 college player than Mattucci is right now is just way over the top. So if you still disagree then so be it. It is your right to say whatever you want.

Don't understand the Mattucci-Bowers debate. Very different players -- different styles -- different levels.

I don’t believe there’s a debate of any sort….i was just pointing out the obvious that Gage cooked him.

Just giving flowers to my guys after an excellent win over a really good team.

And big shout out to sophomore Ty Huffman putting up 14 points in the 1st half off the bench without him this game would’ve been a different game.

Julian, Cade, Luke, and Baron all played great aswell

For the last time, he didn't "cook" him. He didn't guard him. I've never heard anyone describe a player like this who shoots 40% from the field and outscores the other player by 3. It's not obvious as you say, it's annoying. Great win for the Miami Trace team. And Huffman was absolutely critical hitting 3's in the early going.

You’re 100% incorrect he did cook him dude from New Albany stuck Gage the entire 2nd half, they played man….dude for New Albany had 8points mid way through the 4th…so yes Gage cooked him in the 2nd half….he could not guard Gage….what are even talking about sorry your nephew or whatever he is got cooked by a sophomore……that dude got garbage points at the end…..with all the trash talk….New Albany is the best overall team we’ve played and beat……#21 was a baller and their big was really good….New Albany isn’t a 1 man team….Just like Trace isn’t just Guthrie.

Now you’ve gone from silly to either lying or not understanding the game. 1. There was no man-to-man. 2. He didn’t guard Bowers.3. Bowers didn’t guard Mattucci. 4. Mattucci did not get “garbage points at the end.” Did you watch the game? Just not understanding your narrative at all.

I only engaged because you said Bowers deserves a higher D-1 scholarship than UToledo, which is inexplicably strange. And you try to act as if Bowers scored while being guarded by Mattucci, if that's what you mean by "cooked". That didn't happen either. Originally I thought you meant "cooked" to mean he shut down Mattucci from scoring, and now I realize that's not what you meant. You are welcome to scroll through the video replay and watch Bowers score his four field goals and find out if Mattucci even guarded him on those plays. Mattucci had a bad game for him, no question. And Miami Trace played an excellent game with a superbly-executed defensive plan. Absolutely praise for all of that. You see, I have no allegiance to Mattucci in any way, or to New Albany. I'm just able to view this much more objectively than a exuberant Panther fan.

This Miami Trace win ranks as one of the best-played games against a tough opponent in the Southeast so far this season.

This is one of the weirdest threads I've ever seen on here

Seems like a pretty cut and dry "Miami Trace and their players played very well" would've ended it and now it's almost 2 full pages of a weird argument lol

Weird is saying a D-1 Commit was "cooked" by another player who should be going to college at a better school than Toledo. That's what started this. And no one ever said anything negative about Bowers. Zero.

Tell the truth. No one "put Bowers down." I said he's a "very good player" who had a great game.
