Due to the fact that there are just two D3 district semi games at the Convo, to go along with two D3 district final games, leads me to believe there will be no co-mingled East/SE district games, just separate district brackets played separately, except that each district plays their finals the same evening at the Convo. I think that is unfair to have just 5 teams in a bracket to get to the regional.

Yes, this was originally designed to be a combined district with two champions. Now it appears OHSAA may have changed its mind, which is really unfair. Seed all 13 teams and let the chips fall. A 5-team district is baloney, if indeed that’s how it is going to be.

They should at least cross them over and play East vs. SE in the 2 district final games.

Should be a traditional combined district as was scheduled.

The East District has blank brackets posted. They show one with 3 East teams and 4 SE teams in one bracket, and 2 East and 4 SE teams in the other.

East and SE will play separate until the district finals.

Could it be that they are separate because the SE District uses the NCAA seeding system, while the East District still allows coaches to select their bracket line?

My understanding it is primarily a geography/distance issue. Regardless, it was supposed to be an inclusive all-on-one district, and should be.

Why not just move Marietta into the East district to even up the numbers a bit?

Marietta is the greatest team in the East and southeast so it shouldn’t matter

Nice try. Steubenville is No. 1, and there are 6 or 7 other teams that can compete for the top 4 seeds if this were a combined district.
