Columbus West Cowboys went through a similar situation in the late 90’s
Lost Mike Redd and Kevin King and somehow was better the next 2 years.

This is way closer to how I would rank them. Probably Chillicothe No. 4, Peake 5 and Circleville 6. Otherwise, spot on.

@Cameron34Crazie34 ... when you break my rankings down into the "divisional rankings" as you did - it makes my rankings look legitimate LOL ... even with all the abuse - I'll keep my old Ouija Board LOL ...

I never discredit your work! I’m going to try to keep up updating the RPI ranking I added throughout the week also.

... sorry, I didn't imply that YOU did ... I was just saying that when the rankings are broken down into divisions - they're pretty accurate imo ...

I think Manchester is gonna do better than alot of people think when tourney time comes around. They have played a pretty good teams. I would bump them up some. Kingsolver has them playing pretty good ball right now.

Couple things on Steubenville:

-Beat Ontario (13-2) by 25
-Beat Toronto (11-3) by 21
-Beat Cambridge (14-2) by 22

In the Marietta game, Steubenville was held 23 points below its season average. But Marietta strangely went 4-for-25 on field goal attempts in the lane. Actually got numerous good looks. Yes, the final margin is extreme, but I think Steubenville is a top 4 team in the entire state and it was Marietta's worse shooting night of the year. Also, the margin got much wider substituting in the final three minutes. If you haven't seen Steubenville play, you are likely to enjoy watching them.

Marietta has two key injuries now, but they've won everything they could have been expected to win to date. Average winning margin of 17 points against teams .500 or better. Gave Wheeling Central Catholic (poised to win its 2nd straight W. Va title and likely go undefeated) its best game. WCC shot 68% on 3's that game and Marietta was down 3 with just under three minutes left. If WCC shoots a still excellent 50% from 3 the Tigers likely win that game.

My original comments were about Chillicothe (underrated) and I'm marginally less sure about Ironton and Wheelersburg after another week of play. But I think they would both be a "pick 'em" game against Circleville and Unioto. Healthy I'd take both Chillicothe and Marietta against Circleville and Unioto.
Stuebenville is good, but I don’t think they are top 4 in the state.
Might not be top 4, and I'm surprised how strong they are as they lost their best player to graduation. I've seen them four times and impressed every time.
I have also been very impressed with Steubenville. They are better than last year. Last night, they blew out a pretty good Wheeling Park team.

Circleville is a very good team! I have no problem putting them at 1! Nungester is very talented, kind of reminds me of old school talent! Circleville is a matchup nightmare for most schools with the length from 1-5, and they play more team basketball than Chillicothe!

It has become relatively clear that Miami Trace is No. 1 (yes, I know Circleville beat them) but Miami Trace strength of schedule and performance of late has been impressive. Not sure where I'd have Circleville right now, but it appears Jackson, Marietta, Circleville and Chillicothe all in the next group of teams right now.

If we get the results of games being played this afternoon & early this evening, I will try to get this weeks rankings out late tonight - I live in the Hocking Hills area which is susceptible to power outages, I want to get the rankings out in case my power goes out here in the HH ... we'll see how it goes and if we can get all of the scores from today ... if not - rankings will be out when I can get them out after the power comes back on ...

if Miami Trace play Circleville 10x’s…Miami Trace would beat them atleast 7 out of that 10.

While I think Miami Trace is the best team in the area, they only get one shot at Circleville and Circleville was the better team on the floor and scoreboard that night.
