IT AIN'T BAD
i had lasagna today, and a salad, and very nasty brownie. all nutrisystem stuff. the lasagna was really pretty good. but real small portions. i think we lost 5 pounds though, chewing the brownies up though. was inda like chocolate wood putty.

See, it's like my plan of good food- small portions. I still can't do either of them. Eating is my stress reliever. Some people drink, some people smoke, I snack.
Keep up the good work and think of the new wardrobe you will be getting.

me too grnma1 when things are bad I eat... chocolate mainly though maybe I should get some of YTB's chocolate putty

I went to weight watchers two years ago with a friend and lost 20lbs. I felt so much better than I do now. I should have never quit. I need to be accountable to someone and I need to exercise more.

I'VE LOST 7.4 POUNDS SINCE MONDAY NIGHT. SO IT IS WORKING.

Nice...keep up the good work ytb. I've known some other people who've done NutriSystem and it definitely works if you stick to their meals only and add some exercise along with it. Got to make sure you keep food choices and portions reasonable after you go off the program though or the weight just comes back on quickly according to them.*

YTB, good luck on your diet. I have 20 pounds that I have put on and taken off so many times I can't remember, he comes and goes so often I have him named:) I've never been on the Nutrisystem diet but I think I sort of do the same on my own. I buy the pre-made frozen dinners and snack bars and count every calorie up to 1200 to 1500 when I'm on a diet. I have to have the pre-measured portions in order to succeed. I couldn't lose if someone gave me a spoon and a big bowl of chicken and dumplings, I'd consider that my personal serving. It seems like the plan you're on is working, the hard part will be temptations, like eating out, and being around your kids, especially if they bring home pizza and stuff. It will help that you're doing the diet with your wife, support from everyone will help so much. Just remember that when you feel the hunger pains, the diet is working, and drink lots of water, keep a bottle in your hand, and the hunger pains will lessen as your body becomes accustomed to the diet. Hang in there.

thanks ballparent, in the past i could take it off at will. but i'm nearly 48 now. this is very structured and easy. the boys have brought home food twice this week. but we did not eat a bite. we did however, go to melini's tonight. during football season, we've decided to eat out on friday night. and tough it out the rest of the week. it's wierd actually telling a small change in your clothes in a mere 5 days. my goal is 220. the weight i got married at. but there will be no cheating, or snacks. i hope you all help hold us accountable.
